Genevieve Pace

Genevieve Pace is the Senior Relationship Manager in the Creative Economy team at the British Council. She has worked in the creative industries for over 15 years, from running her own businesses to developing strategic programmes and building partnerships to strengthen creative economies in the UK and internationally. She works with colleagues globally to design initiatives that drive knowledge exchange and insight to improve practice and inform policies and support sector development. At the British Council she has led a partnership with Nesta to deliver the Creative Enterprise Programme (CEP), aimed at supporting creative entrepreneurs and encouraging sustainable livelihoods. This programme was delivered with local partners in 25 countries and supported nearly 2000 entrepreneurs. 

Prior to working at the British Council, Genevieve managed two pioneering Arts Council England funded capacity building programmes focused on access to finance and sustainable business models. She co-created tailored curricula, toolkits and resources, and contributed to university lectures and events. In her freelance capacity she has worked with World Cities Culture Forum, undertaking research on innovative city level policies to engage young people in culture. The report can be read here.  

Genevieve’s academic background is in International Relations and Psychology which she studied at the University of Pretoria.
