Dr Susan Keitumetse
Dr Susan O. Keitumetse is an international expert on cultural heritage and sustainability, approaching heritage as a key enabler of sustainable development. Her background spans Archaeology and Environmental Science, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Botswana (1996-2001), an MPhil in Heritage and Museums, and a PhD in Archaeological Heritage and Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge.
Dr Keitumetse’s trans-disciplinary expertise allows her to address heritage studies from diverse perspectives, reflected in her international journals and books available on Google Scholar. She currently focuses on integrating cultural heritage into nature conservation, diversifying sustainability narratives and innovation concepts for African landscapes.
Her publications include: African Cultural Heritage Conservation and Management: Theory and Practice from Southern Africa (2016, Springer International Publishing).
Dr Keitumetse is a research scholar in Cultural Heritage Tourism and UNESCO Chairholder on African Heritage Studies and Sustainable Development at the University of Botswana.
